Selecting the right programme tier depends on your current role, the tools you use, and the reporting obligations you face. These questions address the most common points of uncertainty.

Foundation suits those entering environmental work from unrelated fields — ecology graduates moving into monitoring roles, technicians cross-training from utilities, or staff who need structured grounding before handling live data systems. If you already operate sensors or submit field reports regularly, Practitioner is the more appropriate starting point.
Participants who complete Practitioner and subsequently enrol in Advanced receive credit for the overlapping modules. The Advanced programme does not repeat Practitioner content — it builds directly from it. Contact us before enrolling to confirm your credit transfer based on your completion record.
Foundation introduces QGIS for basic spatial data. Practitioner adds ArcGIS Online, Python scripting for data processing, and EPA-standard reporting templates. Advanced covers remote sensing tools, automated alert configuration, and multi-station network management. All software access is provided during the programme period.
Organisations can enrol staff across different tiers under a single Team Access agreement. Pricing is calculated per seat per tier, with volume discounts applied across the full group. A dedicated coordinator manages scheduling, progress tracking, and any custom module additions agreed at the outset.
Foundation and Practitioner conclude with a practical submission — a completed monitoring report using provided field datasets. Advanced includes a formal certification assessment reviewed by an external examiner. There is no time-limited exam; assessment is based on applied work produced during the programme.
